An exquisite English pair cased pocket watch in rare condition made by Wright in the Poultry “Watchmaker to the King”, circa 1816.
Silver splendid pair case, high-grade solid quality, matching hallmarks London 1816, case maker’s punch JM, interesting and rare silk watchpaper, with imprinted poem and original dome. Fire-gilt movement with cylinder escapement and very big diamond endstone; very rare bridge with banner and crown, labeling as watchmaker of the king, main plate signed and numbered. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and pink gold hands.

The watch impresses with its completely original and probably well-kept original condition and is a very fine English quality. Thomas Wright (in the Poultry) was watchmaker of the king and worked among others also with Thomas Earnshaw.
