Silver fine pocket watch

A fine English silver pair cased pocket watch with date made by Samuel Weldon in London, circa 1762. This fine watch has two cases, of which an outer case with a large lateral hinge and repoussé decoration showing Hercules, Admetos and Alcestis, and a polished inner case. The signed dial is silver with champlevé Roman hours, an outer arcaded minute track and Arabic five minute numerals, a chased and engraved center, an aperture for the date and Louis XVI hands. It has a signed key wind full plate movement with applied floral decoration, chain and fusee, square baluster pillars, a three arm steel balance and finely florally engraved pierced balance cock.
