An early calendar verge with silver champleve dial in repoussé silver pair cases set with an enamel scene circa 1730. Full plate fire gilt movement with decorative pillars. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Winding through the back, pierced and engraved plate for the silver regulator disc. Plain gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver champleve dial with arcaded minute ring, Roman and Arabic numerals. Silver centre signed Wilter London, rectangular date aperture, gilt hands. Plain silver inner case, maker’s mark DV. Chased and engraved silver repoussé outer case. In the centre of the back, a fine polychrome enamel scene.
