An English silver pair cased verge pocket watch, hallmarked London 1858. Full plate fusee movement, round pillars, pierced and engraved round cock, steel regulator on the top plate below the plain three-arm steel balance. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer minute divisions, a central polychrome enamel scene depicting a farmer ploughing a field with three horses, a windmill and a church in the background, gilt hands. Plain matching cases, silver pendant and bow, maker’s mark PW and the number corresponding to that on the movement.
