Pocket watch with chronometer escapement

A heavy numbered pocket chronometer, made by James Connor in London, England, circa 1822. The plain case of this watch was crafted from silver and has London Hallmarks from that period. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The numbered movement has been extensively restored and fitted with a “more modern” chronometer balance, gold screws and has a chronometer escapement in the manner of Earnshaw and a diamond end stone.
