An exceptionally heavy English pocket watch with a magnificent case, presumably for the Indian market, circa 1896.
Splendidly engraved 18K gold case, original dust cover. Also, splendidly engraved gold dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and blued steel pear hands. Fine English precision movement with chain/worm, lever escapement, screwed chatons, and plate signed. Dial and movement signed—movement and case with matching numbers.
