An extremely fine, rare and early French gold, enamel single-hand pendant watch, circa 1680. This timepiece features a full-plate verge movement with a gilt finish, complemented by a white enamel chapter ring adorned with Roman numerals. The centre of the watch is ornamented with enamel decoration and equipped with a single steel hand, while the gold case is engraved and heavily embellished with applied decoration. The signature on the artwork reads Du Hamal a Paris.
