Gold quarter repeating pocket watch

A fine and amusing Swiss 18K rose gold hunting cased quarter repeating keyless lever pocket watch with concealed erotic automaton scene made for the Indian market, circa 1900. An unusual case, both covers are decorated with four chimaeras and leaf decoration, an inscribed hinged gold cuvette, beneath, a multi-coloured painted on enamel erotic scene of a couple enjoying a quiet moment.

Matte silver dial with multi-coloured painted radial Roman numerals, outer and central gold paillon floral decoration, blued steel spade hands. A gilt movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Case numbered.
