A very fine and rare, extra-thin Swiss 18 carat gold pocket watch with regulator dial, circa 1849. A solid, polished case. An engine-turned case back engraved inside was Presented by H. H. Said Pasha to P. P. Green at the Alexandria Races on 29th May 1849. Hinged gold engraved cuvette with engine-turned rim. Matte silver dial with narrow radial Roman numerals for the hours, radial Arabic numerals for the minutes, subsidiary seconds dial and gold arrow hands. Extra thin, gilt brass movement, bar calibre, gold wheel train, lateral lever escapement, three-arm steel balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Signed cuvette.
