A historically interesting pocket watch. The movement and the dial with the elegant, superimposed Breguet numbers were sold in 1927 to the jeweller Roznaés, located in the famous Rue de la Paix in Paris. He manufactured, probably at the customer’s request, a high-quality platinum case, which is set with sapphires on the edges. An exceptionally attractive piece reminiscent of the early Art Deco watches from Cartier.

Cabochon is the name for a cutting technique for cutting precious and semi-precious stones and the name for the stones obtained with this. The natural stones are first cut into a shape (for example, in a heart shape, oval or square), after which layers are cut from the top until the stone has become convex. They are used to make relics visible in reliquaries. Cabochon grinding requires a grinding machine equipped with grinding wheels or grinding belts.
