A French 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket lever watch, circa 1882. This watch features a handwound mechanical lever movement. Its enamel white dial displays black baton hour markers, an iron track, black Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic outer 1/5th second divisions, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold pear shaped hands. The case has a chased back decorated with floral engraved motifs and an engraved Breguet signature. The watch is recorded in the Breguet archives. It was sold on July 17, 1882, to Mr Watson for 400 francs.
