Gold full hunter chronograph

A fine French 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased quarter repeating chronograph pocket watch made by Auger in Paris, circa 1912. This watch features a hand wound mechanical movement with a column wheel, two hammers, two stamps and a lever escapement. Its silvered dial displays blue Roman hours, an outer minute track, Arabic five minute numerals, outermost fifth of a second divisions, a pink gold pear shaped hour hand (the minute hand is missing), subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and a blued steel chronograph hand at 2. The case is engraved with monogram SP on the face and topped with an oval fluted crown. It is further numbered (eagle head after 1912), the cuvette is signed Auger and reads the inscription Place des Victoire à Paris.
