Two colour gold lever dress watch by Breguet

A fine French two colour gold keyless lever dress watch, Montre Simple, circa 1937. Sold to Monsieur Pedro Baro on 23 September 1937 for 5,200 francs. Movement featuring decoratively damascened bridges, lever escapement, bimetallic compensation balance, and jeweling extending to the centre, numbered 2646. Silver engine turned dial with a satin finished chapter ring displaying Roman numerals, an outer minute track, and a subsidiary seconds dial with a satin finished Arabic chapter ring. Blued steel moon hands and a satin finished banner signed and numbered Breguet 2646. The 18 carat white gold case includes a case back and bezel with pink gold rims, a milled white gold band, a white gold pendant, and a pink gold bow. The case back is signed and numbered B 2646, with French gold marks on the case back, body, bow, and pendant. Accompanied by a Breguet certificate dated January 28, 2020.

The movement is not functioning; the balance seems to be damaged. The dial shows minor spotting and tarnishing. The case has light scuffs and scratches, but the milling on the band remains well defined.
