Platinum open faced keyless lever watch
–
A fine and rare French platinum and blue enamel open faced dress pocket watch of ultra slim knife edge design, circa 1930. It has a mechanical manual wind movement with a lever escapement. The matte silvered dial shows painted black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track, a subsidiary small seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and blued steel Breguet style hands. The timepiece is housed in a sleek platinum open faced case with a bezel and case edge intricately set with calibre cut blue sapphires, a fluted winding crown, and a stylised platinum suspension bow. The solid back cover is decorated with a vibrant royal blue guilloché enamel finish.
–
The watch is accompanied by a matching 18 carat white gold watch chain featuring long, stylised geometric bar links, a swivel clasp, and a spring ring terminal.
