An extremely rare, rock crystal watch in the shape of a crucifix, signed by Senebier Genèva, circa 1660. Gilt brass case cruciform rock crystal bowl, rock crystal on all sides to fold out, faceted. Gilt brass dial, cruciform brass full plate movement, verge escapement, applied floral decorations, gut/fusee, blued screws, three-arm brass balance. The dial is decorated with florrely scenes and Roman numerals. The movement and the gilt balance cock are also abundantly ornamented, movement signed ‘Senebier’, Genèva Switzerland.
