Silver open faced keyless pocket watch

A Swiss sterling silver, gold and enamel keyless pocket watch, circa 1900. The case band with black enamel inlay, a silver hinged cuvette with an inscription, case back is lavishly decorated in a gold and black enamel floral motif centred by a shield with engraved initials: S.V, bezels decorated in a floral and leaf pattern in relief. Bicolour red and white enamel dial with painted radial Roman numerals, outer gold dot minute track, most outer red reserve decorated with gold stars and leaves, subsidiary sunk seconds dial. Gold Louis XIV hands. Movement with 15 jewels, lateral counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, and blued steel flat balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed.
