Silver cylinder pocket watch

An important souscription watch made by Breguet et Fils in Paris, France, circa. 1824. The numbered open faced case of this watch, which was crafted from silver, has a solid gold band, an engine turned back lid and bears the maker’s mark from Louis Joly. The white enamel dial has Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track and a steel Breguet hand. The movement has a Breguet ruby cylinder escapement and temperature compensation.
Dial and movement have matching (secret) numbers and are signed.
