Steel open faced watch by Alain Silberstein

A unique, extraordinary and very fine French skeletonized pendant watch with visible one minute tourbillon, circa 1995. Bridge movement, blackened, with engraving: Le vrai bonheur est d’avoir sa passion pour métier (To have one’s passion as a profession is true happiness), 21 jewels, Glucydur screwed balance and side lever escapement with tourbillon regulator and polished steel arm.
Skeletonized dial with transparent chapter ring dial for the hours and minutes at 9, visible tourbillon cage at 3, S shaped steel bridge, red triangular hour and blue baton minute hand. Stainless steel case with screwed on glazed back case band set with 252 round diamonds (2,11 carat). Comes with original box, blank certificate, accessories, papers and chronometer rating.

Alain Silberstein, Architecte Horloger, ‘Nomade Tourbillon’. Alain Silberstein was founded in 1990 by Alain and Sylvie Silberstein in Besançon. The company specializes in watches with a modern, extravagant design, here, the former interior architect and designer Alain Silberstein was heavily inspired by the German Bauhaus. He is known for his consistent clock designs with geometric elements in bright colours.
