A Swiss platinum keyless dress watch, circa 1948. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Made for  Cartier by Patek, Philippe & Cie. Genève, made in 1948 and sold on October 20, 1950. A variée case, polished and brushed, inclined bezel. Brushed silvered dial, applied platinum baton hour markers and Roman quarter-hour numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary dial for the seconds. White gold bâton hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, and index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
