A marine chronometer in war version B made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte near Dresden, Germany, circa 1945. The numbered case of this deck watch is crafted from bakelite and has a cardanic suspension. The numbered white enamel dial, bearing the rare B marking for a military observation chronometer, has Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, power reserve indication at 12 and black spade hands. The numbered movement has an A. Lange & Söhne anker chronometer escapement.

The extract from the archives confirms the originality of the watch and its delivery to the naval department of the Soviet Army in 1945. By the end of the Second World War in 1945, A. Lange & Söhne had only produced 246 of these chronometers with this caliber.
