Hunting cased pocket watch for the South American Market

A rare, fine splendour hunting case pocket watch with one minute tourbillon produced for the South American market, circa 1885. 18k gold case, lavishly florally engraved with flowers and foliate decor, à goutte, case maker punch mark “PF”. Silver dial, decorated, applied floral gold decoration, applied radial Roman numerals, auxiliary seconds, blued spade hands. Bridge movement attributed to Henchoz Fréres, Le Locle, rhodium-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, chatoned centre wheel, spring detent escapement, gold screw compensation balance, freesprung, finely polished, bevelled steel tourbillon cage.
