A high quality German gold open faced two train, two time zone watch with thermometer, subsidiary dials, and centre seconds, circa 1880. The timepiece features a damascened movement with two trains, a lever escapement, and a bimetallic compensation balance. It is equipped with a white enamel dial that includes three subsidiary dials for two time zones and seconds, a sector for a thermometer, and an outer ring for centre seconds with red Arabic five second markers. The watch is signed Boré & Berger, Magdeburg and has a 14k pink gold case with a polished finish, stepped and milled bezels, and a stop slide to the band between 20 and 25 seconds past. The dial has no visible cracks and is in good condition. The case is overall in good condition with light scuffs, and the bow shows wear to gilding. The movement is not running, but the balance appears to be free. The handsetting for subsidiary time dials is operational.
