Johann (Hans) Eichstedt, sometimes Eichstädt, Eichstett, or Eysted (ca. 1630 – ca. 1700), was born in Elbing, south of Gdansk. He quickly gained an excellent reputation. He worked for the royal household. There are about ten known clocks by Eichstead, all of high quality.
