A German rare, early gentleman’s Glashütte pocket watch, manufactured in quality 1A, circa 1878.
The case of this rare watch is 18 carat rose gold, tiered, polished and “à goutte”, with engraved monogram, engine turned and engraved gold dome, large lateral hinge and inner lid with dedication engraving. The signed dial is enamel with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and gold spade hands. And it has a 3/4 plate movement, frosted, gilt, with screwed gold chatons, gold screw compensation balance, florally hand-engraved balance cock, gold lever and escape wheel and chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
