A German gentleman’s Glashütte pocket watch – ANKERCHRONOMETER in a silver case, sold for the sum of 317 Marks in 1916.
Silver, polished case with case design Lucia à goutte, gold crown, pusher, hinge and shackle, and glazed movement. Signed enamel dial with Arabic Empire numerals, auxiliary seconds, and gold Louis XV hands. Signed frosted, gilt 3/4 plate movement with screwed gold chatons, large gold screw compensation balance, florally hand-engraved balance cock, index spring fine adjusting device, gold lever and escape wheel, and chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
