A rare dress watch with black dial in original box and with original papers made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, Saxony, East Germany, circa 1950. The numbered plain open faced case of this watch was crafted from graduated silver and the rare black dial has Roman Hour numerals, a Subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and the original hands. The numbered movement has an A. Lange & Söhne Glashütte precision lever escapement with a fine adjustment.
Dial and box are signed.
