A very fine timepiece of supreme quality, as is to be expected from a school watch made in Glashütte. In 1904, Gumal Schmidt was listed in the A. Lange & Söhne staff records as 56 years of age. It is remarkable that 6 years later at the age of 62 Schmidt became a master watchmaker at the watch- and clockmaking school in Glashütte.
