An important, extremely rare, one-handed coach clock with hour strike and alarm, circa 1680. Bronze case, fire gilt, florally engraved and pierced, rear bell. Silver dial, foliate scroll decor, radial Roman hours, central turnable alarm disc with square diagonal cartouches and Arabic numerals, blued steel hand. Full plate movement, fire gilt, applied orally engraved and pierced decorations, finely hand-engraved with foliate scrolls, signed, chain/fusee, baluster-shaped movement pillars, 2 barrels for alarm and striking train, two hammers, verge escapement, regulator disc, locking plate with square diagonal cartouches and Arabic numerals analogous to the alarm disc, three-arm iron balance, very florally engraved and pierced balance cock.
