An extremely heavy English deck chronometer with mahogany box, circa 1818. This watch is equipped with a precise chronometer movement with a helical hairspring and a diamond endstone and is signed and numbered. Its cock is magnificently engraved. The watch has a plain 18K gold case with London Hallmarks from 1818, an original dome, and a plate marked as CHRONOMETER. The original enamel dial is also marked as Chronometer (with fine hairlines). It features Roman radial hours, an outer minutes track, a subsidiary dial for the seconds, and blued steel hands. The watch comes in a matching mahogany box.
