Gold hunting cased lever watch

An extremely heavy gold hunter cased, so called Westminster carillon made and finished by Henri Barbezat-Bôle, utilising a master grade movement blank (ébauche) made by Louis-Élisée Piguet in Le Locle, Switzerland, circa 1900.
A 14 carat pink gold, “à goutte” hunting case with case maker punch AW. Extremely rare, very fine precision movement with four hammer carillon, patent number on the main, patented by Constant Piguet in the year of 1896, lever escapement, screwed golden chatons and repeating of hours, quarters and minutes.
Very good enamel dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes, subsidiary Arabic seconds and solid Breguet steel hands. In working order, nearly unused, with old sales box, signed Benedict Brothers New York.

These so called Westminster repeaters with four hammers are extremely rare. Only a few pieces are known and registered today. They are regarded as the highest quality among the repeater watches, absolute rarity.
