A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced lever pocket watch with linear perpetual calendar and moon phases, circa 1951. Sold on May 20th, 1963. The lever movement with 18 jewels. Silvered dial with raised gold hour indexes, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds combined with moon phases at 6, an aperture for the linear calendar in English at 12 and dauphine hands. A plain case with a snap-on back inscribed To my Darling, your perpetual calendar so you can always remember me, Elaine. Dial signed, case and movement signed and numbered. Comes with an Extract from the Archives and 14 carat gold chain.

This watch is a Reference 725 which was launched in 1940 and produced for about 40 years. It features arguably the best 17′” calibre quality of its time. The calibre was so celebrated that the firm modified it for a variety of famed models including world-time and skeletonized watches.
