A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced lever pocket watch, circa 1906. The movement with a lever escapement, five jewels and adjusted. White enamel dial with black Arabic hours, outer minute divisions, outermost red Arabic five minute numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and Louis XIV hands. A plain case, the inside of the back cover engraved with a monogram and the year 1973. Dial signed, case numbered, cuvette stamped by the case maker A.W.C. Co., movement signed and numbered. Comes with an Extract from the Archives confirming the sale of this watch on November 28th, 1906, and the remark that the movement and dial were sold without a case.
