A Swiss silver open faced verge pocket watch with alarm, circa 1660. Gilded full plate movement, verge escapement, decoratively pierced and engraved silver screw-set balance cock and foot, worm and wheel set-up, fusee and gut line, round baluster pillars. Gilt dial, hour chapter with Roman numerals over a blued steel background, the centre pierced and engraved, blued steel double-ended hour hand, inner alarm chapter with Arabic numerals. Pierced and florally engraved case. Dial signed.
