A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced minute repeating split chronograph keyless watch, circa 1954. Retailed by Cartier. Cal. SMCRV nickel lever movement, 28 jewels, precision regulator, repeating on two steel gongs. Gold cuvette. Silvered dial, applied square faceted indexes and Arabic numerals, subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 30 minute register, gold hands, blued steel chronograph hands. Case with large chamfered bezel, repeating slide to the band, split seconds chronograph operated by a rectangular button in the band and through the stem. Case, dial and movement signed ‘Audemars Piguet’, dial signed ‘Cartier’, stem stamped with Cartier reference number. With a Cartier certificate of authenticity.
