A Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel hunting cased repeating pocket watch with jaquemarts made for the Chinese market, circa 1900. Three quarter plate lever movement, jewelled to the centre, cam-wheel regulation. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, chronograph seconds, translucent red enamel border with polychrome enamel jaquemarts figures holding hammers. Both covers with translucent red enamel over engine turned ground, front cover with polychrome enamel portrait of a girl holding a daisy chain, rear cover with a portrait of a girl holding a jug, pearl-set bezels. Movement signed Ed. Richard, Locle’.
