An extremely rare Swiss Geneva extra class pocket chronometer with chronograph and 30 minute instantaneous recorder, circa 1911.
Massive, demi bassine, polished 18 Carat gold case with monogram E.J.J. engraved on the cover. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph ring, sunk subsidiary seconds, minute register, and blued steel spade hands. Gilt brass movement, 26 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring with a swan-neck micrometric index. Vacheron & Constantin special calibre RA 19/20 Douzième Chronograph. Chronograph with visible work and push-piece in the band. Sold on 30 July 1912 in Argentina. Accompanied by the extract from the archives. Signed on the dial, case and movement.
