A rare Swiss miniature ladies’ pendant watch with pearls, enamel painting and matching brooch, circa 1900.
A fine quality precision lever movement probably by Paul Ditisheim. Extremely fine translucent turquoise enamel guilloché dial with gold rimmed white cartouches, turquoise coloured Arabic hours, outer gold minute dots, subsidiary seconds and pink gold Louis XV style hands. 18K gold case, the back, front bezel and bow are extremely elaborate oriental half pearl set, a further polychrome enamel miniature on the back depicting a putto on the back of a dolphin. Comes with an associated 14K gold brooch in the form of a flying swallow, also completely set with miniature oriental pearls (three pearls missing), the eye set with a ruby, the blossom in its beak set with a diamond. Case and movement numbered.
