A fine German brass two day marine chronometer with Guillaume’s integral balance, circa 1960. A brass case with handles, glazed upper section with applied plaque, brass bowl and gimballed suspension. Matte silvered dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and power reserve indication and polished brass spade hands. Gilt brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars secured by screws, 11 jewels, reversed fusee with chain and maintaining power, Earnshaw spring detent escapement with jewelled locking stone, two arm Guillaume anibal brass integral balance with cylindrical weights and two meantime adjusting nuts, free sprung alloy helical balance spring with terminal curves.
Dial, box and movement signed.
