A French gilt and enamel pair cased key wound pocket watch, circa 1780. The movement with a verge escapement. White enamel dial, Roman hours alternated with diamonds, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minute numerals and the hands decorated with diamonds. The front bezel of the inner case is set with diamonds, the outer case is enamelled in translucent red with the polychrome enamel portrait of a lady on the back. Movement numbered.
