Pocket watch with very fine precision movement

A rare Geneva anker chronometer with very fine movement, made by Max Mayer successor to Jaccard du Gros in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1900. The numbered open face case of this watch was crafted from 14 carat gold, has a fine coined band, an exceptional bow and the maker’s mark Max Mayer successor to Arthur Jaccard du Gros and a monogram on the back lid. The white enamel dial has Arabic five minute and hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The very fine precision lever movement has a special fine adjusting device and an anker chronometer escapement.
