An impressive gold hunter cased watch with quarter repeater and chronograph, made by Audemars Frères in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1900. The à goutte case of this watch was crafted from 14 carat gold is engine turned on both sides and its cuvette is inscribed ‘Par l’ancien maison Audemars fondée en 1811’. The white enamel dial has an outer minute ring with Arabic five minute numerals, black Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The movement has a lever escapement, a quarter repeater and a chronograph.
The dial and cuvette are signed.
