Gold hunting cased keyless lever watch
–
A fine Swiss 14 carat yellow gold full hunter pocket watch with chatelaine made by IWC Schaffhausen, circa 1900. This watch has a mechanical crown-winding manual movement featuring a lever escapement with stone pallets, screwed chatons, and a swan neck fine adjustment system. The white enamel dial shows Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and golden hands. The timepiece is housed in a 14 carat solid yellow gold full hunter savonette case with a hinged protective front cover, a fluted winding crown, likely a later addition, and a round suspension bow. The watch is presented with a multicoloured decorative chatelaine chain measuring 12 cm in length.
