A fine Swiss 14 carat yellow gold Art Deco pocket watch with chain, made by Movado for the prestigious Geneva retailer Golay Fils & Stahl, circa 1920. This watch has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement, signed Movado. The two tone dial features a brushed outer silvered chapter ring with applied gold Breguet numerals for the hours, a yellow gold center, an outer dotted minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and sleek gold cathedral hands, signed Golay Fils & Stahl Genève. The timepiece is housed in a 14 carat solid yellow gold open faced case with a hand chiselled black enamel inlay decorated border and band, an ornate engraved Art Deco suspension bow, a plain polished reverse back cover, a fluted winding crown, and a gold cuvette. The watch comes with a matching long watch chain.
