A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced lever watch with associated watch chain, circa 1900. This watch features a gilt manual winding movement, signed Archimède, with a balance featuring a Breguet hairspring and a lever escapement. It has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track with Arabic numerals at five minute intervals, a sunk subsidiary dial for constant seconds, and Louis XV hands. The 18 carat gold case cover is engraved with the monogram HB and has a copper dust cover. The watch includes a matching 18 carat yellow gold watch chain, measuring 280 mm in length and weighing 30.3 g.
