A heavy and exceptionally large Swiss pocket chronometer with detent escapement, circa 1900.
Engine turned 14K gold hunter case with three gold lids, and dust cover labelled CHRONOMÈTRE. Very fine chronometer movement with rocker chronometer and cylindrical spiral, fine adjustment, screwed gold chatons. Original enamel dial with Breguet-style radial hours, outer minutes track, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and red gold Louis XV hands.
