An 18 carat gold Swiss hunting cased pocket watch with calendar, quarter repeater and chronograph, circa 1900. This watch features a movement with lever escapement behind a glazed cover, a polished steel indicator, bimetallic balance, blue steel hairspring, and two hammers ringing a chime. It has two push buttons on the band, one for the repeat and one for the chronograph. The white enamel dial is adorned with gilt hands and includes subsidiary dials for the date at 12 o’clock, months at 3 o’clock, days of the week at 9 o’clock, an opening for the moon phase, and an additional seconds display at 6 o’clock. (Missing seconds hand and chronograph hand). The case is smooth.
