A fine Swiss, double-dialled 18K pink gold and champleve enamel hunting cased keyless pocket watch with day and date indications, circa 1900. A polished case, hinged and sprung front cover with red and blue champleve guilloche enamel monogram V & A, back cover opening to reveal the calendar. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds.

Calendar dial: white enamel, annular, outer date ring and inner ring for the days of the week. Gold spade hands. A nickel movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, two in scrued gold châtons, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance, index regulator, the calendar star-wheels geared to the centre-wheel.
