Gold full hunter repeating chronograph lever watch
–
A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph and minute repeater from the early 20th century. It has a hand wound mechanical movement with a compensated bimetallic balance, a lever escapement, an advance/delay adjustment rack, and a two hammer gong chime for the minute repeater. Two push buttons on the pendant activate the chronograph and minute repeater strike. The white enamel dial shows Arabic numerals for the hours, a minute track, a central chronograph hand, a small seconds hand, an external graduation for 1/5th of a second, and Louis XV style hands. The round 18 carat yellow gold case is smooth, with a hinged hunter case back and a plain gold cuvette. The gold cuvette bears World’s Fair medals.
