A fine and rare Swiss, hunting cased, keyless, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with an 18K yellow gold 18 cm chain, circa 1900. Made for Maier & Berkele, Atlanta. The front cover is engraved with the initials A.H.B, a hinged gold cuvette engraved: A. Haygood Boynton Atlanta Ga.

White enamel dial with painted Breguet numerals, outer minute track with five-minute red Arabic markers, subsidiary seconds dial. Gold Louis XV hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 15 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed, case and movement signed Maier & Berkele Atlanta, lunette signed A.W.C. Co.
