Gold hunting cased keyless complicated lever watch
–
A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold full hunter pocket watch with minute repeating chronograph and perpetual calendar moon phase complications, circa 1900. This watch has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement, a compensation balance wheel, a chronograph mechanism, and a minute repeater mechanism striking the hours, quarters, and minutes on gongs activated by a push button on the band. The white enamel dial shows black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer track for the chronograph seconds, and an outer minute/seconds track with Arabic five minute numerals from 5 to 60. It has a central chronograph sweep second hand, subsidiary dials for the days of the week at 9 o’clock, months at 3 o’clock, date at 12 o’clock, a moon phase aperture combined with a subsidiary seconds layout at 6 o’clock, and sleek gold hands.

The timepiece is housed in a substantial, heavy round three body 18 carat solid yellow gold full hunter case. It features a smooth, polished spring hinged front cover that opens to reveal the crystal dial face, a matching smooth, polished back cover, a fluted winding crown, a sturdy round suspension bow, and a solid inner gold protective cuvette.
